Multitalented actor Sam Concepcion hosts the ultimate dance showdown this summer.
After weeks of practice, 16 hip-hop dance groups from NCR, Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will converge in Manila this Thursday to compete in the Dunkin’ Donuts Icy Coolers Dance Dunkdown at the Music Hall of SM Mall of Asia.
Aside from promoting Dunkin’ Donuts’ new summer drink–the Icy Coolers, which comes in icy apple, icy grape, icy orange, icy choco, and icy tea variants–this dance showdown is focused on encouraging kids and young adults to do something productive for the summer.
“This is one incredible way for the barkada [friends] to spend summer,” says TV and theater teen actor Sam Concepcion, who will host the grand Dunkdown with celebrity dance enthusiasts Vhong Navarro and the Streetboys.
Amateur dance groups with six to eight members are participating in two categories: the kids category is for those between 8 and 12 years old, while the adults category is for 13- to 20-year-olds. The grand champion will get a P100,000 cash prize, while the runner-up will receive P50,000.
