Encanto’s entry as well as the others were made and submitted within 48 hours after the theme for the ad was released. This year’s theme encourages people to sign a petition to pressure world leaders to attend the UN Summit for Climate Change in Copenhagen and come up with an agreement to help reverse climate change.
Voting for the entries will be until June 1. Winners will be chosen based on creativity and the videos’ views, ratings, and footprint. Two winners will get an all-expenses-paid trip to Cannes to participate in the prestigious Young Lions Film Competition.
There, as a team, they will be issued a mobile phone and, within 48 hours, will shoot and edit a 60-second commercial on behalf of a charity. They will compete against 37 other groups from all over the world.
