Learn about chakras, wellness, aromatherapy, angels, astrology, and coffee entrepreneurship this month at the eco-living shop EchoStore.

Angel counselor Nonoy Ozaeta is back for a series of lectures on understanding the self. Tomorrow, February 3 (9:30 a.m.), Ozaeta’s lesson on “Is He or She the Right Angel?” will answer your personal questions like “Why don’t I have a relationship?” “Should I get this person out of my life?” “How do I know if this person is the right one for me?” The two-hour session will help you make sense out of your relationships through the help of angels.

Ozaeta will talk about “Helping Angels Watch Over the Earth” on February 10 (9:30 a.m.). Beginners may want to catch the initial talk “Are You My Angel?” on February 17 (9:30 a.m.), in which Ozaeta talks about what angels are and their purpose on earth. “Having It All with Your Angel” on February 24 (9:30 a.m.) will teach you how to work with angels to bring abundance to your life.

Ozaeta is a faculty member of the UP College of Architecture and has acted as a medium between people and angels since 1993. Lecture fee for the angel talks is P900, which includes snacks.

Artist-writer and curator Jeannie Javelosa’s Astrology 101 class (February 11, 18, 25 at 6 p.m.) will give a basic introduction of astrology over three 3-hour sessions. Participants will work with their own birthchart and are encouraged to e-mail their birthdate, birthplace, and exact time of birth to Jeannie at jej.echolifestyle.store@gmail.com prior to the class. Only a maximum of 20 people will be taken in, so interested individuals are encouraged to sign up before February 9. Lecture fee is P3,000.

Jeannie, who also teaches yoga, will lecture on “Understanding the Chakras” on February 14 (2:30 p.m.). A Sanskirt word that means “wheels,” chakra pertains to the spinning energy centers in the body. Jeannie’s class will relate chakra to the health and well-being and will teach you how to develop higher levels of consciousness. Lecture fee is P900.

Husband-and-wife team and wellness experts Dr. Mike and Cathy Turvill, owners of Nurture Spa,will share their expertise in two separate lectures. Cathy will talk about achieving personal and enviromental wellness and integrating wellness into your everyday life on February 7 (1 p.m.). Dr. Turvill’s three-hour talk on aromatherapy (February 9, 6 p.m.) will help you understand the true meaning of aromatherapy and its applications and will teach you how to distinguish between real and synthetic oils. Lecture fee for each class is P500.

If you’re a big coffee enthusiast, don’t miss Chit Juan’s Coffee 101 and Barista 101 lecture on February 10 (2 p.m.). Chit, who has earned the nickname “Coffee Lady,” is one of the founders of Figaro Coffee Company and co-chairs the Philippine Coffee Board. Her lecture will teach you how to make espresso-based beverages like cappucino, mocha, and macchiato and how to brew coffee. Those interested in putting up a coffee shop might want to catch Chit’s February 17 (2 p.m.) entrepreneurship class. Chit’s lecture will answer questions on profitability, franchise, and required capital.

Lecture fee of P900 comes with snacks, handouts, and a certificate.
