karaoke-dreams-peta-vince-de-jesusWatch the last performance of the Philippine Educational Theater Association’s (PETA) Karaoke Dreams for free on July 31, 3 p.m. at the Crossroads Convenarium, Quezon City.

Written by Palanca awardee Vince de Jesus and directed by Maribel Legarda, Karaoke Dreams is about three Filipinos who have always wanted to work abroad and finally decide to pursue this dream.

One of them, Julie Nahuli, hopes to become a singer but becomes a victim of trafficking. Her friend Isko Nabisto successfully gets a job overseas but decides to stay on after his visa expires. Rudy Natsugi gets his passport and visa from a “friend” but realizes later that his travel documents are fake.

The musical comedy is produced with the support of the European Union through the Philippine Border Management Project and the International Organization for Migration.

To RSVP, send the name of your organization, contact person and number, number and names of attendees to petampro@yahoo.com. You can also call the PETA office at these numbers: (+632) 4100821 and 7256244 or (+63 918) 9068083.
