The Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) celebrated its 40th year recently with a concert featuring songs from some of PETA’s most memorable plays Pilipinas Circa 1907, Diablos, 1896, Panata sa Kalayaan, Canuplin, Hanggang Dito na Lamang, at Maraming Salamat. It also unveiled the mural “Ang Baraha ng Buhay 1967-2007.”
Created by PETA senior artist-teacher Brenda Fajardo and artists Noel Cuizon, Iggy Rodriguez, Karen Flores, and Max Santiago, “Ang Baraha ng Buhay” symbolized PETA’s continuing journey since its beginning in 1967. The mural was funded in part by the Quezon City government and QC mayor Sonny Belmonte, a friend and supporter of the culture and the arts.
Mabuhay ka, Pilipino!
