Have a unique, memorable UP moment captured in stills or video? We want it!
A bloggers’ initiative, UP@100: Capturing 100 UP Moments is a music-video project compiling 100 photos or videos from UP alumni and students and coincides with the centennial of the University of the Philippines. It aims to capture 100 unique UP moments from 100 different points of view in the past 100 years of the state university’s existence.
If you’re a UP alumnus or student and want to join, here are the mechanics:
- Entries should be in photo (maximum of two shots) or video form (15 seconds).
- Photos or videos should have been taken in UP or in a UP event. These can be solo or group UP moments. (For group shots, indicate where you are in the photo.)
- Each entry should have the the following information:
- Name
- Student number
- Degree and course
- Short description of the event, including the year the photo or video was taken
- Entry submissions can be made in any of the following means:
- File attachments to up100@googlegroups.com or karla.maquiling@gmail.com.
- Blog posts - you can leave your URL as a comment on this official UP@100 post
- Uploads on a file-sharing site - leave the download link as a comment on this official UP@100 post
- Only ONE of the entries submitted per participant will be selected.
- The deadline for submissions is June 19, 2008, a day after the UP centennial anniversary (you can include photos from the centennial celebration).
- The launch of the video will be on June 26, 2008, on all the organizers’ blogs.
- A microsite will be created for the project where all (part of the 100 or not) the submitted photos and videos will be posted coinciding with the video launch.
You can also send your entries to the following UP@100 coordinators: Juned, Benj, Fritz, Ederic, Poyt, Gino, Kevin, and AJ.
DISCLAIMER: The UP@100 Project is in no way related or connected to the official centennial activities of the University of the Philippines. This is a volunteer effort and project by a group of UP students and alumni.
