Si Lupito at ang Baryo Sirkero is the latest children’s book title from nonprofit organization Canvas, which is dedicated to the promotion of Philippine art, culture,and the environment.

Written by Rowald Almazar, Si Lupito at ang Baryo Sirkero is based on an original artwork by Jose Santos III (see above image) and was the winning entry in the 2007 Romeo Forbes Children’s Storywriting Competition.

This full-color hardbound children’s book will be launched simultaneously with the opening of a major art exhibition featuring the works of Jose Santos III on July 8, 2008, 6 p.m. at the Ayala Museum.
