  • Pinoycentric went with a group of birdwatchers to Candaba marsh, where migratory birds come to rest during the winter. Read about it here.
  • Planning to go birdwatching? Here are some birdwatching basics.
  • It’s heartwarming to note that Pinoys abroad are doing everything they can to preserve the culture. One undertaking worthy of notice is the Filipino American Library’s reading program. Rizal has never been so right about looking back and understanding where you came from.
  • Every Pinoy mom will go berserk at news of their children being bullied. At Reedley school, school administrators have been successful in their anti-bullying program called “Drop the Label, Be Kind.”
  • Something to look forward to next week: Rica Arevalo’s Gusto Kita Too, which runs May 21 at Indiesine. It’s a funny love story about two Filipino Americans and how they go about their Pinoy courtship.
  • One reason you should see Ploning: It’s a great film, and  it makes us more hopeful about the filmmaking industry.
  • Nicanor David, Jr., aka Batjay, who recently launched his second book (way to go, we say!) shares some lessons from his life as an OFW.
