A friend from the Conservation International Philippines shares with us a recent documentary on the ABS-CBN newsmagazine show Probe about the thresher sharks, which Batangas fishermen have caught and sold.

Currently, the thresher sharks do not appear on the list of rare, threatened, or endangered species of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources. However, the International Union for Conservation of Nature designates them as a vulnerable species.

Watch the 10-minute documentary “Pating” on Probe TV (aired April1 6, 2008, on ABS-CBN).

Probe runs every Wednesday at 11:30 p.m. on ABS-CBN
