I'm from Zamboanga but due to some circumstances, my family (first was my father, and the rest of us joined) just happened to live in a tiny island called Mandit. It's actually a part of the northern group in the Cuyo Islands(Quiniloban). I have my own life experience, somewhat a kind of a version of Juday's "Ploning". Unexpected adventures(Sea adventures fo course) and an unimaginable love affair that ended up to a completely unique if not a weird marriage make it up. I should say, each island in Cuyo group has its own romantic attribute(and I'm talking based on experience), so backpackers, adventurers or anyone who has nothing more to do with life, get yourself an adrenaline pumping experince by island hopping in Cuyo group...Thank you Karla for opening the gate for me...

Suggestions :

FEROLAND INN. With tv, hot and cold shower, airconditioning. 8 rooms only. Run by a retired couple. Call 09217904848. Conveniently, there's a restaurant in the ground floor. Likewise, there are several carinderias in the area. Close to the municipal hall, port and town square. No beach view though.

PALAWAN STATE UNIVERSITY (PCAT) HRM Building. Stay where the student practive their HRM skills.

CENTRAL SCHOOL HOME ECONOMICS Bldg. Approximately 5 rooms, good for 2-5 each. 1 commom bathroom only. You wake up to the innocent laughter of school children. Note : HE classes in the morning, at the ground floor.

RAC (Recreational Acvitity Center). Bare.

I will definitely watch Judy Ann's Ploning to see what Cuyo has to offer. Its the first time that I heard of the Island. The pictures look grand and beautiful. I would like to go there.

I am a backpacker and have been to lots of great places here in my beloved country. Tell me, is there somewhere in Cuyo where we could camp or stay-in besides the hotel. If I am going to stay at the Hotel where can I get their rates and how will I reserve a slot?

Thanks. Cuyo surely is a beautiful place and I am so proud to be a Filipino.
