If you still haven’t gotten the morning paper, please don’t forget to grab a copy of the Manila Bulletin. Writer Annalyn Jusay has a Q&A with the PinoyCentric team:
With its elegant design and compartmentalized content, PinoyCentric.com looks like an online magazine–but not quite. . . .
The site’s artistic leanings is attested to by the fact that the founders are all fine arts alumni or students of the University of San Carlos in Cebu. Founder and Editorial Director Armand Frasco is based in Chicago; Norman Nimer, the Creative Director, is based in New York; while Noah Omamalin, the Technical Director, lives in Cagayan de Oro [Note: Actually Cebu City].
In the interview, Norman, Noah, and Armand talk about PinoyCentric’s beginnings, the inspiration behind it, and how we manage to keep the site running, despite the fact that we’re all in different parts of the globe and have to battle a time difference of at least 8 hours. (We should put up a tagline there that says “Manila, Cebu, Chicago, New York,” a la Apartment Therapy.)
I especially like how Norman phrases it: “We had years of partnership and ‘end-each-other’s-sentences’ chemistry between us.”
