Tim Tayag, RJ Ledesma, and Tim Yap during the launch of Ledesma’s first book.

Or the aspiring bloggers or writers or Neil Gaiman wannabes.

As alternative authors company Fortune Favors the Bald (FFtB–yes, you read it right) joins the literary world, creative minds who would not stand a chance getting published in traditional presses would know where to go to showcase their craft.

FFtB, with newly published author RJ Ledesma at the helm, will be ushering in some fresh new talent this year and hopes to express the diversity of creative minds that the Philippines is in no short supply of.

“We hope to develop their career and craft using our fresh media savvy and increase the reading public’s enjoyment of the written word,” Ledesma says.

Envisioned to grow into a full multimedia organization, FFtB will be focusing on print publications in 2008. This year’s projects include fashion columnist Celine Lopez, comedian and TV host Tim Tayag, and events person Tim Yap.

The new media company is on the lookout for emerging literary and visual talents ranging from bloggers to illustrators, scriptwriters to comic book artists.

“It’s about getting heard where you should,” says Ledesma.
