It rained sweets and thank-yous last October 20, National Thank You Day, at the Mall of Asia when Toblerone staged a free concert for all to show them what gratitude and appreciation really means. Bands like Salindiwa, Stonefree, Mozzie, Reggae Mistress, Cynthia Alexander, Stonefree, Hale, and the Dawn performed their respective thank-you songs in front of a very appreciative crowd.

Also, stars like Anthony Pangilinan and wife Maricel Laxa, Cindy Kurleto, Nancy Castiglione, Francis Magalona and daughter Maxene, Jay-R, and Angelica Panganiban graced the stage and showed people their own ways of saying thank you.

A huge thank-you wall was also found nearby on which people could post their sweet little thank-you notes for the entire world to see. In no time, the wall was filled with messages of gratitude that no other space was available for the others to post their own. Have we now debunked the Reader’s Digest findings that we’re the least courteous?

The people behind the Thank You Day campaign also took special note of bloggers who helped spread the word, among them Juned Sonido, Noemi Dado, Annalyn Jusay, Jayvee Fernandez, Anton Diaz, and PinoyCentric.

Toward the end of the show people were abuzz about a “chocolate rain” that was supposed to occur that night. People got their free umbrellas and turned it upside down to prepare for the coming “rain” of chocolates, which they thought would come from the floating blimp above the concert grounds. Too bad because the delectable sweets came from the stage, but they got their sweet fix anyway.
