Artists Plet Bolipata and husband Elmer Borlongan pose beside “Recital,” one of the latter’s paintings exhibited in Singapore last September.
Painter Elmer Borlongan shares with us some photos from a recent show, “Beyond Borders II,” in which his works and those of fellow artists Jose Santos III and Mark Justiniani were exhibited.

“The show was highly successful,” Emong wrote in an e-mail. “I was overwhelmed by
the support and attention being given by the Singapore art community. It’s inspiring to be appreciated by foreign art collectors, knowing your works will be hanging alongside great contemporary Asian artists. I’m hoping this event will encourage young Filipino
artists to seriously pursue their craft. There are many opportunities waiting for them if they work hard.”
You can see some of the paintings exhibited at the Singapore show at the Art Sentral Asia site.
