Our new intern JM Tuazon’s few minutes of fame on TV.
Inspired by The Morning News, Armand and I started toying with the idea of getting an intern in April, but it was only in August, after my good friend Joan Lopez suggested it, that I decided it was worth trying.
We sent out letters. We dropped hints. We asked around. There were some who doubted that we could find one. There were others who wondered why we needed one. But it was Coy, bless his kind heart, who believed in our cause and suggested a blogger who might be interested to intern with PinoyCentric.
And that’s how we found JM Tuazon, a junior journalism student at the University of the Philippines Diliman and an Inquirer scholar. Aside from photography, JM also enjoys covering events and writing about them, hence his enthusiasm to be an intern for PinoyCentric. He is also a lover of pop culture and a devoted fan of pop and OPM. He had his five minutes of fame as an explainee on Manolo Quezon’s ANC show, The Explainer, after writing a thought-provoking post on frat violence.
JM will start blogging for us next week, and together we hope to bring you more original content that celebrates what we at PinoyCentric have been pushing all this time: being Filipino. Here’s to all things brown and beautiful!
