Manila-based Tahanan Books and Arkipelago Philippine Books in California are hosting a book launch and a discussion on Pinoy pop culture on September 10, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Arkipelago shop in San Francisco.

On sale are Neni Sta. Romana-Cruz’s You Know You’re Filipino If . . . , Don’t Take a Bath on a Friday, and Ngalang Pinoy, along with The More the Manyer, for $35 a set. The titles are also sold individually.

Arkipelago offers Philippine CDs, decor, souvenirs, posters, framed painting, art and photography books.

Tahanan Books for Young Readers specializes in quality literature for the entire family and supplementary materials for schools and libraries. Founded in 1991, Tahanan Books has printed almost 100 titles and is a six-time winner of the National Book Award for Children’s Literature.
