May Wagwagan pa ba sa Baguio?

Hazel Toquero, a Filipino teacher in New York, takes us bargain shopping at a street fair in Lexington Avenue at the Big Apple. Hazel honed her haggling skills in Baguio City where she grew up. Aside from being known as the summer capital, Baguio has also earned a distinction as the “wagwag” or “ukay” capital of the Philippines.

Hazel shares:

Hindi ako bumibili ng clothes or shoes with their original price. Lagi akong nag-aabang ng sale 50 percent off pataas.
