PinoyCentric arranged an intimate lunch for Aryty CEO Nils Johnson and a number of pro bloggers over the weekend. Nils was in Manila to introduce Aryty, a site that allows Filipinos in the US and Canada to send phone credits to their friends and family in the Philippines.
Among those who showed up were Jayvee Fernandez, Aileen Apolo, Sasha Manuel, Markku Seguerra, Mike Villar, Gail Dela Cruz-Villanueva, Ederic Eder, J. Angelo Racoma and wife Caren, and Annalyn Jusay.
Aryty also gave out P150 free cellphone credits to the attendees.
Powered by Gorilla Mobile, Aryty has tie-ups with Globe, Smart, and Sun Cellular, and allows subscribers to buy phone credits in denominations of P150 for Globe and Sun, and P115 for Smart.
US- and Canada-based Filipinos can avail of P150 free cellphone credits to send to friends and relatives back home when they sign up at Aryty.com. Payment is by credit card, although the company is looking into other options. The service will also be expanding to territories with strong Pinoy expat communities in the future.
