I know Jessica Zafra wouldn’t appreciate anyone feeding her all those appraisals blah blah. But I guess I have to say that aside from having all her books, to me she is the best Filipina writer I have ever known. And I should stop talking. :-)

I didn’t know Jessica until I stumbled upon one of her books in my school’s library. What I noticed about her is that she’s very upfront. She’s not afraid to be herself and speak her mind. She kind of reminds me of Mo Twister, very oppinionated and frank. She’s like the live version of MTVs Doria, or was it Darla? Nevermind. I like her head period.

Hello, I am a senior student in MSHS, our journalism staff hopes to have the privilege of conducting an interview with Jessica Zafra for our frontpage article..

Can this be possible? Is there any way to get in touch with her/ have her condescend to our request? If it’s too difficult, even an emailed interview would be wonderful.

Hi Jessica, I hope you’re still as tisted as ever, I miss you and the Pinas. I used to get your books first and fall in line to get your autograph. I got Eraserheads story book as well, because you edited it. i watched every single episode of Assignment and listened more to NU 107 . Too bad Assignment didn’t worked, how stupid is that! I still listen to your casette in the car and read your books over and over, too bad it would cost a lot to order it from here in Belgium but i will surely get it. The last time i saw you was when Spawn of Twisted came out, pretty long ago and i got all your books here in Belgium. Too bad i can’t be there when Twisted 8 comes out. I hope this gets to you and i want you to know that i am still very much a part of your empire.More power.

jessica had been an icon for marco and i (at least i think she is). believe me, it was one of her books that somehow made me want to read and read and read. it was during my early college years in butuan. when i was still in HS, i used to see her around glorietta but i never really took notice. gawd. i should have approached her and claimed that we we’re soul mates. that way the followin line would mean otherwise–” knowing that two people are soulmates should be bilateral, if only one believes in its meaning, then its called stalkin.” (hope my memory didnt fail me).
